Overview

The Benefits Assistant will support the Benefits team, primarily focusing responding to employee inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to employee inquiries in benefits inbox in a timely and customer service oriented fashion. Escalate more complicated inquiries as necessary
  • Lead processing of all invoices: Review, code, reconcile and submit all invoices to Accounts Payable. 
  • Partner Payroll as necessary to identify and correct any benefit deductions issues
  • Process all manual medical enrollments and terminations directly with the vendor
  • Assist with administration of Workers Compensation 
  • Oversee gym enrollment and termination deductions are processed in Payroll and work with vendors to ensure accuracy of enrollments and invoices.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Recent college graduates to those with up to 2 years of relevant experience and/or interests
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented; the ability to be truly selfless and do what’s right for the business
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills (verbal, written, auditory) with the ability to comfortably interface at all levels, both internally and externally 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment 
  • Strong PC computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; prior applicant tracking system experience a plus
