Overview

The Merchandise Coordinator role owns the inventory management for all ecommerce samples. This role supports the end to end production of product detail photography by maintaining sample closets, preparing merchandise for all meetings and shoots and working closely with internal teams. The Merchandise Coordinator partners across the company to understand sample deliveries, readiness to shoot and has extensive Tory Burch product knowledge for all categories. This individual is organized, detail orientated, has excellent time management skills and can problem solve challenging cross functional issues.

Responsibilities

Manage Ecommerce Sample Inventory

  • Check and log all merchandise
  • Prepare and tag all samples for photoshoots
  • Ensure accuracy of samples 
  • Maintain and organize sample closet
  • Monitor inventory delivery to ensure that we immediately request any product we did not receive a sample of
  • Understand internal team’s needs to assess priorities and the opportunity to share samples
  • Track all samples that are shared

Prepare Samples for Ecommerce Shoots

  • Prepare samples for all ecommerce shoots and meetings
  • Attend style out meetings to document and understand how all products will be shot
  • Manage inventory for reshoots
  • Assist with packing for all off-site on model shoots
  • Liaise sample sharing for various studios and department needs , ie: style outs, fittings, castings, shoots

Able to Work Crossfunctionally

  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with marking, public relations, buying, studios and the creative team
  • Work with Buyers to minimize the need for reshoots
  • Work with Producers to ensure all styles are shot in a timely manner
  • Responsible for giving status updates to various teams on samples

Additional Responsibilities

  • Comfort communicating with all levels face to face and via email
  • Stellar interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous production background preferred; exposure to fashion and/or merchandising highly desirable
  • Self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented and can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with tools in an online environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; experience working with high-profile clientele strongly preferred
