Overview

The Assistant Designer, Sweaters must be organized, detail oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities. Must be passionate about product and have an elevated aesthetic to match the Brand.

Responsibilities

  • Keep design boards up to date
  • Set style into pdm
  • Update sketches after fitting and upload to pdm
  • Collect, track and ensure all information is compiled and easily accessible related to each style
  • Sketch flat and details construction by using illustrator for tech pack
  • Assist in showroom samples alterations
  • Take notes on updates to design/sketch during fittings
  • Organize and keep work area clean
  • Prep samples and proto for review (steaming, etc… )
  • Assist models during proto and sms review 
  • Swatch library: Track, Collect and Organize 
  • Research into season concept 
  • Develop knitted swatches for inspiration 
  • CAD color options for styles or presentation 

Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in photoshop & illustrator
  • Strong sketching skills 
  • Must be able to work in PDM to build all tech. packs and pass specs. In a detailed, organized and clear manner for factory proto sample making
  • 1-2 years as an assistant designer
  • Must be able to knit
  • Sweater Construction understanding
  • Able to work in fast paced environment
  • Collaborative and eager to learn
  • Adaptable to changes
