    Overview

    The Returns Associate will process product returns and information while udner the supervision of the Returns Supervisor and department Managers in a fast-paced working environment. The Returns Associate will answer questions, input accurate return information on customer accounts and perform general warehouse duties, including material picks and deliveries, and warehouse cleanup.The Retrutns Associate will work Mon - Friday from 8 AM - 4:30 PM with the availability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Unpack returned merchandise, inspect package condition and assess paperwork sent in with return instructions for proper return procedures. 
    • Inspect returned merchandise, checking for quality and condition of product to determine return category.
    • Receive merchandise, following all security and safety return procedures for each product type.
    • Distribute returned items to their proper location considering all factors including the value of the product, its condition and type of return.
    • Input clear customer account notes in internal computer systems, communicating return reasons, customer feedback and instructions to ensure accurate processing.
    • Identify critical distribution issues and report them to the team lead/supervisor.  Data entry as needed.  Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
    • Perform other tasks as required to meet team goals.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training
    • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write clearly in basic English
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
    • Must be detailed oriented
    • RF scanner equipment experience is required
    • Stand in the same area (potentially) for a full shift
    • Reaching/twisting/bending/ lifting required
    • Be comfortable in a warehouse environment (noise/weather/dirty/dust)
    • Comfortably lift 20 lbs with no assistance
    • Comfortable in handling delicate garments/apparels and reworking them back to vendor pack (this function includes: folding/hanging garments, shining shoes, and preforming an overall quality inspection
    • Comfortable in a fast paced environment
    • WMS knowledge preferred
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships within the distribution center
    • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
    • Mathematical computational skills are required to understand location quantities, thresholds and capacity
    • A high attention to detail and the ability be consistent when entering information repetitiously
    • The provision of good customer service internally and externally
    • Strong communication skills as they will need to communicate any changes that affect the building and product location, storage
    • Must be willing to work overtime as needed including days regularly scheduled off, such as weekends and holidays
