    Overview

    The Distribution Associate is responsible for picking items for distribution to our Ecommerce and Wholesale customers and to our Retail and Outlet storesThe Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity. The Order Picker is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.  This position will be based out of our distribution center in McDonough, GA. Qualified applicants must be able to work Thursday - Saturday from 7 AM -7:30 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Picking department of a distribution/fulfillment center.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Pulls warehouse items from shelves based on number, size, colour, quantity, and quality requirements
    • Ensures that orders are accurate
    • Monitors stock control systems and processes specific orders
    • Ensures warehouse goals are met
    • Maintains a high level of health and safety standards
    • Operates scanners so that the proper order is picked and inventory is managed accurately
    • Performs other general warehouse duties as needed

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training
    • Experience or understanding that they will be trained on warehouse material handling equipment
    • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write clearly in basic English
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
    • Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including word-processing, spreadsheets, database software programs, and e-mail
    • WMS knowledge preferred
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Establish and maintain professional relationships within the distribution center
    • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
    • Mathematical computational skills are required to understand location quantities, thresholds and capacity
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability be consistent when entering information repetitiously
    • Strong communication skills as you will need to communicate any changes that affect the building and product location, storage
    • Must be willing to work overtime as needed including days regularly scheduled off, such as weekends and holidays
