    Overview

    The Senior Corporate Accounting will assist with the accounting consolidation process, including eliminations and adjusting entries, assist with financial statement preparation and footnote disclosure, assist with technical accounting and critical accounting policies, statutory reporting and oversight. This position will also work closely with the other finance teams, including tax and financial planning & analysis, in ensuring a timely and accurate monthly accounting close and the preparation of useful management analysis and reporting.

    Responsibilities

    * Assist in the global consolidation and the preparation of consolidating financials and related footnotes;

    * Assist with corporate accounting activities, including debt, equity, consolidations, international accounting activity, and intercompany transactions and eliminations;

    * Assist with statutory reporting for all legal entities, including preparation and oversight as well as coordinating with local audit teams in terms of schedule requests and deliverables;

    * Research technical accounting issues, prepare research memos, and provide expert advice/guidance for a variety of topics;

    * Assist with implement internal controls and accounting policies to promote effective governance and accurate financial reporting;

    * Assist with the coordination of benefit plan audit;

    * Assist with the covenant and economic censuses reporting; and

    * Conduct special projects as required.

     

     

     

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    * In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and internal controls;

    * Ability to research difficult accounting topics, write position papers;

    * Experience with dealing with international subsidiaries, foreign currency revaluations and translations;

    * Experience with ERP – SAP preferred;

    * Experience with BPC and consolidations;

    * Ability to drive process improvements and develop systematic processes; and

    * Advanced proficiency is use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

    * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

    * CPA required

    * Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience (2-3 years public accounting and 2-5 years industry)
