    The goal of the Planning function is to set up all relevant processes and drive the business (Revenue, EBIT) through strategic merchandise planning, controlled inventory management, actionable reporting and insightful commercial analysis. We achieve this by creating a world class, digitally enabled integrated end to end planning team, which is commercial, connects well cross functionally and delivers efficient merchandise processes.

    The Demand Planner is responsible for analyzing and forecasting the daily demand for the US Ecommerce business to support or yearly Budget and monthly in season forecasts and further forecast Demand to Net Sales dilutions.

    The Planner will also be responsible for Planning key promotional events and calendar shifts into the Demand forecast and will support the execution of the key events along with other digital business counterparts in partnership with the Director of Demand Planning.

    To excel in the position, this person must have excellent retail math and analytical skills, established planning experience, have creative problem solving skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced highly collaborative environment. 



    • Create pre-season demand plans by day and reforecast daily demand bi-monthly based on trends and considering key promotional events, markdowns, floorset launches, and any other demand drivers.
    • Focus on forecasting KPIs – AOV, Traffic, Conversion and UPT
    • Focus on by device forecasting – mobile, desktop, tablet.
    • Work with digital marketing to understand traffic drivers and to set Plan and forecast.
    • Monthly Open to Buy (OTB): Provide monthly Gross to Net forecast direction in collaboration with Director of Demand Planning to the category Planners to help forecast the monthly OTB for the company.
    • Provide Daily Demand Sales goals to Finance, Digital cross-functional partners, and the Warehouse 1x a month.
    • Provide KPIs to finance 1x a month. 


    • Understand and provide context weekly for what is driving demand shifts.
    • Partner with Category Planning, Buying/Merchandising leads to link tops down financial results to daily and weekly divisional performance, while outlining action to drive future results through productive promotions and markdown management.
    • Collaborate with Buying and Digital & Email marketing to understand creative focuses by day TY vs LY and brainstorm ways to drive Demand sales.
    • Work with the warehouse to understand capacity, any potential backlogs, and provide them with details needed for their operations.
    • Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed to understand what is driving demand shifts – category, key pages, regional/country analysis.
    • Continue to focus on driving the KPIs and understanding impacts to conversion.
    • Continue to improve processes/reporting and dive into a higher level of detail

    Key Events:

    • Provide a forecast pre event to set goals for the wider digital team.
    • Report out on daily performance within the event.
    • Work with the warehouse and customer service and provide them with key volume drivers for event, new markdowns, etc, so they are prepared.
    • Working with Buying and Category Planners to set category goals for Sales to GM for the event that tie back to the monthly OTB.
    • Work with Director of Demand Planning to confirm inventory levels are in place to hit Demand Goals.
    • Work with Buying to suggest key event style drivers; pull demand daily within the event to help inform Buying/Site merchandising decisions and check inventory levels.


    • Bachelor's degree
    • Strong analytical skills paired with strategic business acumen
    • 1-3 years’ experience working in planning / buying functions
    • Prior experience Ecommerce and demand Planning
    • Excellent mathematical and computer skills
    • Detail-oriented, results-driven, highly, motivated, and entrepreneurial.
    • Strong Planning and Forecasting Skills, retail experience preferable
    • Decision making capability clearly driven by developing strategic product and business initiatives
    • High level of proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Google Analytics skills preferred.
