    Overview

    The Director, Customer Analytics will bring a data-driven understanding of customer needs and behavior to cross functional business partners. They will inform all leaders and areas of the business of meaningful insights gleaned about our customers’ behavior changes and general health of our customer base. Their data findings will ultimately improve the customer experience and drive financial results. The Director, Customer Analytics will act as a true data scientist, whose work will power the art of client engagement.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide data analytics for a value driving and quality focused customer segmentation, working in partnership with the Business Intelligence team.
    • Utilize statistical modeling, advanced analytics and experimental design to produce business insights that allow optimization of client engagement and marketing investments.
    • Drive the development and utilization of predictive analytics that enable better targeting and personalized engagement activities.
    • Track results of client engagement activities implemented at store and ecommerce level.
    • Monitor and create reporting for customer tier migration across segments.
    • Help define and track KPIs that are critical to client engagement and retention.
    • Uncover customer patterns, gaps and business opportunities through analysis of our customer data coming from disparate sources, e.g.: ecommerce purchasing data, Medallia surveys, Client Services data, Social Media behavior.
    • Act as a knowledge expert on the health of customer base.

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA degree in a quantitative field (statistics, applied mathematics, econometrics, etc.).
    • Graduate degree / MBA is highly preferred.
    • 10 years of relevant experience with a leading luxury retailer or similar consumer driven organization.
    • Advanced SQL is a must; experience in other programming languages like Python or C++ preferred.
    • Experience using systems such as Microstrategy, Hadoop, BlueAnalyzer, or Tableau (or similar data visualization/dashboarding tools).
    • Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques such as clustering, decision trees, logistic regression, and recommendation systems.
    • Ability to conceptualize business issues, formulate hypotheses, gather results, analyze data, and make appropriate recommendations for change.
    • Proficient in developing high quality, reusable, and scalable analytics supporting a wide variety of customer and business outcomes.
      Ability to partner broadly across an organization, adding value to the efforts of other teams and creating strong, supportive relationships.
